Finding perfect pregnancy outfits can seem basically impossible. You want to be cute but obviously comfort is key.
Who wants to be buying clothes that you will be wearing for only a short season of your life? Well fortunately, most of these pieces mentioned can be whether you are pregnant or not.
Searching for pregnancy outfits can be a challenge, no matter what trimester you are in. You want to look hot but how is that even possible when you feel like an elephant?
With each passing week, it seems like your options are getting less and less. Look no further girl, I have the answers you have been WAITING for.
This post is all about the comfiest, trendiest pregnancy outfits that every hot (pregnant) mom needs.
The Hottest and Trendiest Pregnancy Outfits
1. casual pregnancy outfits
Finding a couple ribbed tanks is definitely a staple piece for your pregnancy wardrobe. They are a wonderful must-have for any season, because lets be real you are not wearing anything that is making you sweat more than you already are. The light weight, stretchy fabric is definitely what you want and need for your pregnancy outfits. Heading over to a casual Thanksgiving dinner? Put on your ribbed tank and eat all the mashed potatoes your pregnant self desires.
These pieces can work and be paired with so many different outfits. Jeans, leggings, sweats, shorts, really anything. So go grab one in every color and make yourself hot (but most importantly, comfortable).
If you are in your first or second trimester (and especially if this is your first pregnancy), you potentially can get away with any non-maternity ribbed tank tops. As long as they are not super cropped (unless, of course that is the look you are going with), they should look and fit just fine. Most mid length ribbed tanks should do the job, all thanks to the super stretchy material. Below, I have added a few of my most favorite ribbed tanks I have purchased in the past during my pregnancy.
Now, for you ladies that may be showing a little more and need some extra room. I have options for you also. Click the links below to check out some cute ribbed tanks, specifically for pregnancy.
2. fall pregnancy outfits
Fall pregnancy outfits can be easy when it comes to finding comfort. Picking out a fall pregnancy outfit that is flattering with your belly is not so easy. If I plan to sit on the couch all day and not do a damn thing, then a baggy sweatshirt with no pants will work just fine. The select few times I do want to get out of the house and look cute, I had zero idea what I should wear. This is when leggings and cropped sweaters became my best friend. It takes zero effort and you come off like you tried (win and win).
When it comes to being pregnant and wearing leggings, it typically depends on how far along you are. I was getting away with Lululemon leggings for a good solid 25-30 weeks. I knew I would be living almost everyday in leggings, so I bought a new pair and sized up. You probably already know, but Lululemon leggings literally feel like butter on your thighs. They are so stretchy, yet somehow they are not see through. Lululemon offers endless colors, sizes and lengths (big fan of brands that offer lengths for us short girls). Below, I have linked my personal favorite which are the Lululemon Align High-Rise Pant 25”.
At the end of my third trimester, I needed a little more room in my leggings. I found H&M sells real cute maternity leggings that are extremely affordable. As you see in the picture of me above, I AGAIN was all over the ribbed material. If you don’t own a pair of ribbed leggings, GIRL you need a pair (or 5). They are so warm, and the ribbed material is so flattering. The MAMA Ribbed Leggings from H&M were one of my favorites during the end of my pregnancy. Amazon also of course offers many different maternity leggings. I personally loved the Motherhood Maternity leggings from Amazon. These leggings offer full length stomach coverage to fit your big belly. I LIVED in these my last couple of weeks. My belly very much appreciated the support these leggings offer.
Now lets find the perfect cropped sweater to go with your leggings. If you have searched your closet and can’t find one, I got you. The perfect thing about this fall pregnancy outfit is that the sweater is a piece you can wear pregnant or not pregnant. I have recently bought some of my most favorite sweaters from Zara. I have actually never shopped at this store, until recently. Zara is actually a pretty affordable. In addition, the quality is AMAZING.
H&M is where I got my sweater in the pic above. I wasn’t able to find the exact one, but below I will have a very similar one linked 🙂
3. pregnancy outfits for work
For a more business casual look whether it is for work or just your style, I love layering with blazers and cardigans. Dressing super comfortable is STILL an option with this look. Because we will be pairing our outfit with a blazer or a cardigan, we can most definitely choose to wear our basics underneath but still look super professional.
You can find super cute and affordable blazers and cardigans off (again) H&M. They have many styles and colors to choose from with (again) great prices. Again, with the blazers and cardigans being added to your pregnancy outfits, you will be able to reuse this item even when you are not pregnant.
I know we don’t want to heavily splurge on maternity tops. I also tried to go as long as possible without having to buy any different clothes. Also lets be real, most maternity clothes out there are horrid and also expensive. Lucky for you, Amazon has some trendy and affordable maternity tops that your pregnancy closet needs. Below, I have linked Amazon’s Choice for pregnancy t-shirts.
Unfortunately, we have to wear pants at work. I know, i know you can barely roll out of bed, so how do they expect us to wear pants? Fortunately, the brand Ingrid & Isabel at Target, has some great options for maternity pants. The ones I have linked below are form fitting, have great reviews, and will pair great with our blazer (or cardigan) and top.
4. pregnancy outfits for weddings
Okay, so it is wedding season and what the f*ck are we going to wear? I got you. I am personally not much of a dress girl; however, dresses are extremely comfortable when you are pregnant. The thing with dresses on a pregnant body is that they can look very unflattering very fast. During my pregnancy, I typically aimed for dresses shown just like the one above. Tight and focused on my boobs, and then a nice flowy bottom. Having it be tight on your boob area will allow for it to be formed on the top part of your belly (so then everyone will know you are cute and pregnant).
Super tight dresses are obviously super hot, I just always aim more towards comfort. If you are feeling yourself though and want to look like a super hot mom then go for it!
In the pic above (of me and my cute mama hehe), my dress is very form fitting in the boob area. Then the dress just flows beautifully on my bump. This dress was purchased from PinkBlush. PinkBlush has a huge maternity section of all sorts of different clothing items. They also have “bump friendly” added to items that can be worn pregnancy or post-pregnancy. I love this because then I know I am buying a piece that I can wear for more than one season of life. I was able to find this exact dress on their site!
5. pregnancy outfits for summer
Ahh, bless your sweet soul if your due date is prime summer time. My due date with Owen was in December, and I already THEN felt like i was sweating my ass off. With us being large and in charge, we need to find pregnancy outfits for summer that will make the season a lot less miserable.
Pregnant or not pregnant, my ideal summer outfit is basically just being naked (haha jk but not really). I get so sweaty and so hot so easily It is important for me to find airy, lightweight clothes. I have found unitards (jumpsuits, bodysuits, rompers) to be EXTREMELY comfortable. They are not only very flattering on your bump, but also so easy to style. Add some gold jewelry and a pair of your white Nike’s and you are good to go! I have found that layering with cardigans or zip up sweatshirts is also a cute look.
I recently came across the store Bumpsuit. They have many different pieces specifically aimed for pregnant women who want to look and feel their best. One of their best seller’s, The Cindy Maternity Bumpsuit, is double lined and offers extra support for you hot moms! They offer a bunch of different cute colors and offer a nice sizing guide. The Cindy Maternity Bumpsuit is 5 star rated and a majority of the reviews online state how buttery soft the material is.
Skims also offers a wide range of maternity and postpartum wear. They are soon to be coming out with a Maternity Sculpting Bodysuit Mid Thigh! We all know and love Skims. I can’t rave about their products enough. Below, I will include the link to get on their waitlist for their new bodysuit!
My hope for you is that after reading this post you have found pregnancy outfits inspo! You are going through so many changes and have all the reasons in the world to go shopping 😉
